The closest major Amtrak Station to Sutter Creek is Sacramento Valley Station, which is a 1-hour drive to Sutter Creek. Major rental car dealerships are located throughout Downtown Sacramento. These are accessible from the Amtrak Station either by a 20-minute walk or via the SacRT Light Rail system. Sutter Creek is not accessible via public transit from the Sacramento Valley Station.

From anywhere in the state of California, work your way to I-5 and head toward Stockton. In Stockton, take the interchange onto eastbound CA-4 (Ort J Lofthus Fwy E) toward Downtown Stockton. In about three miles, keep left and merge onto northbound CA-99 toward Sacramento. In about 2 miles, take the exit onto CA-88 (E Waterloo Rd) and turn right. Follow all signs and continue on CA-88 for about 37 miles. Just after Amador Steel & Supply, turn left on Ridge Road and continue for about 2 miles. At the Walgreens, turn left onto CA-49 and in a quarter mile, turn right onto Old Highway 49. Continue around Miners' Bend and straight onto Main Street, the City Hall Auditorium and Festival Check-In Tent will be on your right just after Church Street.

Getting around Historic Downtown Sutter Creek is easy and fun! All festival venues are located on or just off Main Street within a 5-minute walk of each other. Street parking is available but not guaranteed on Main Street. Parking lots are located behind City Hall Auditorium (accessible from Church Street) and on Eureka Street near Gold Dust Pizza. Additional parking can be found at Hanford Street and Gopher Flat Road and south of Downtown at Miners’ Bend Park.
If you don’t have a car and need to go beyond Downtown, Amador Transit offers routes connecting to shopping centers, hotels, medical centers, and the surrounding Amador County region.
